We are working on livelihoods, food security, social enterprise, environment protection and DRR with both the host community and the Rohingya population, KIA Program Activities. we are looking for an experienced and potential Finance Officer for our all project activities.
∎ Finance Officer (FO) will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial management of Stichting Cordaid Bangladesh country office. The position will report directly to the Accounts and Finance Manager (AFM). The FO will closely work with the AFM maintaining adequate in-country financial reporting, reviewing partner financial reports and providing analytical feedback, implement and manage financial budgets vs expenses and prepare forecasts, bank operation and complying with all governmental, donor standards in alignment with programmatic strategies.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday 40 hours per week. Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
∎ Yearly renewable contract based on fund availability and performance.
∎ Key contacts: Accounts and Finance Manager, Head of Business Support, Programs, HR & Admin Coordinator and Fundraising department of Stichting Cordaid.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review bill vouchers of Dhaka Coordination and field offices and make payment requests and get approved those from the authority.
∎ Invoice preparation for projects+ third party.
∎ Assist in ensuring the timely payment of all bills and invoices with the proper authorization and supporting documentation.
∎ Data posting in accounting software (AX-Global Software), data verification and preparing vouchers.
∎ Deal with the bank and keep track of fund flow. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation report and submit it to line manager for review and finalization.
∎ Responsible for payroll preparation and monthly pay slips to staff.
∎ Maintaining cash book and ledger with responsible for the management of petty cash with monthly cash reconciliation.
∎ Ensure and calculate Govt. Vat & Tax and maintain separate register as per NGOAB, NBR requirement.
∎ Monitoring Advance management systems and ensure timely adjustment of advances.
∎ Assist both the internal and external audit process as required. and check compliance of last internal & External audit report including settlement of receivables and payables
∎ Ensure timely month-end financial data uploading for internal and donor reporting.
∎ Successfully complete the AX-Global Software-month closing.
∎ Engage with FS preparation and donor reporting at initial stage
∎ Support for budget preparation for projects, NGOAB.
∎ Communicate and collect of partners financial reports, review those and provide analytical feedback.
∎ Responsible for Local government compliance like Expats staff return, withholding tax, 108 & 108A, monthly Vat & Tax return prepare and submit to tax office, country office return.
∎ Technical support in field office on finance-related issues.
∎ Calculate yearly staff salary tax and prepare tax certificate for staff.
∎ Any other job assigned by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Bangladeshi citizen.
∎ Minimum 3-5 years of experience with NGO/ INGO in overseeing multi-sector works including Accounting and Finance etc.
∎ Experience in dealing with multi-stakeholder programs and strong stakeholder management in a multicultural setting.
∎ Knowledge of Bangladesh financial and tax regulations.
∎ Broad financial management skills to direct financial planning, accounting, internal control, monitoring, reporting.
∎ Proven integrity record especially in the stewardship of resources, transparency and accountability.
∎ Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
∎ Qualified or advanced degree in finance related field. Chartered Accountant (CA CC) will be an advantage.
∎ Strong commitment to team management approach, including good interpersonal and negotiating skills.
∎ Proven capacity to interact and negotiate with partners, government officials, and service providers.
∎ Good reasoning ability and sound judgment.
∎ Have a very high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.
∎ Have a strong work ethic, take initiative, proactive and require minimal direction.
