Master`s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent from a reputed university.

Solid experience in INGO monetary management, donor compliance, and grant-based accounting.
Strong understanding of fund accounting, donor reporting, and financial regulations.
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle NetSuite) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
Experience leveraging Al tools for financial analysis, forecasting, and process optimization.
Highly skilled in MS Excel in advanced level, Power Bl, and Al tools for financial analysis, automation, and forecasting. Efficiency in Al is necessary.
Proven ability to prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial trends, and risk analysis.
Experience in year-end closing, journal entries, and financial audits.
Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
Skilled in cost control, financial modeling, and scenario planning.
Demonstrated leadership in managing finance teams and building capacity.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluency in Arabic and English

JOB SUMMARY:
- The Financial Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and strategic growth of the organization. This position involves overseeing daily financial operations, managing assets and cash flow, and providing accurate financial analysis to support informed decision-making and long-term planning.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Objective 1: Ensure financial planning aligns with organizational strategy and donor requirements.
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget in coordination with the Head of Office and department managers.
- Develop multi-year financial forecasts and donor-specific budgets.
- Monitor budget implementation and provide monthly and quarterly variance reports.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis of programs and operations to support strategic decisions.
- Participate in strategic planning meetings, donor briefings, and interdepartmental coordination forums.
- Ensure financial inputs are integrated into program design, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
Objective 2: Maintain robust financial systems and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Implement and monitor approved financial systems, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure accounting records are maintained in line with IFRS/IAS, donor regulations, and Bangladesh financial laws and compliance.
- Design and update financial frameworks and internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure transparency.
- Ensure compliance with HQ financial policies, donor agreements, and statutory requirements.
- Regularly review and update financial policies to reflect changes in donor regulations or local laws.
Objective 3: Provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports to stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee year-end closing, journal entries, and adjustments.
- Review and submit donor financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide financial analysis and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
Objective 4: Ensure financial transparency and accountability through effective audit and risk controls.
- Prepare and manage internal and external audit processes, including documentation and follow-up.
- Coordinate with external auditors for the preparation of annual audited financial statements.
- Implement audit recommendations and monitor risk mitigation strategies.
- Maintain asset registers, insurance coverage, and financial safeguards for office and project assets.
Objective 5: Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
- Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting staff, ensuring clear roles and performance expectations.
- Conduct regular training and capacity-building sessions on financial systems, donor compliance, and reporting standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement within the finance team.
Objective 6: Enhance financial efficiency and accuracy through digital tools and Al-driven solutions.
- Leverage ERP systems, accounting software, and Al tools for automation, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Promote digital solutions for expense tracking, reporting, and document management.
Objective 7: Ensure financial consistency in operations and represent the finance function effectively.
- Approve advances, settlements, accounts payable/receivable, and project-related financial transactions in accordance with internal controls and donor guidelines.
- Validate inventory counts, closing entries, and financial adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Participate actively in procurement, finance, and compliance committees, contributing to transparent and accountable decision-making.
- Liaise with donors, HQ finance teams, external auditors, and regulatory authorities to ensure timely and accurate financial communication.
- Support emergency response finance operations, ensuring rapid mobilization of financial resources and compliance with humanitarian standards.
- Undertake any other finance-related tasks assigned by the Country Director or HQ, consistent with the scope of the role.
- Ensure prompt reconciliation of bank accounts, petty cash, and project accounts, and resolve discrepancies in coordination with relevant teams.
- Help financial orientation and onboarding for fresh staff, especially those in budget-holding or grant management roles, to strengthen financial literacy and accountability.
Objective 8: Ensure financial consistency in operations and represent the finance function effectively.
- Integrate PSEA and gender-sensitive budgeting into financial planning and reporting.
- Ensure financial systems and audits reflect compliance with gender and safeguarding policies.
- Collaborate with HR and program teams to ensure financial support for inclusive programming.
