Educational Requirements:
∎ Qualified accountant (CA or CA Final year/completed articleship with audit firm) with minimum 5 years of relevant experience* as given below
∎ Master's degree in accountancy/financial management from reputed University with minimum 8 years of relevant experience* as given below

∎ Duration: 1 Year (Renewable position)

∎ The BRC has a long history of working closely with and supporting the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society. In line with the national society`s strategic plan the BRC have agreed to expand the number of projects over the coming years. On this basis we are seeking to employ a suitably qualified Finance Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial systems, processes and procedures relating to the running of the BRC Bangladesh Country Office and to ensure compliance with BRC finance policies and procedures, guaranteeing controls are robust and yet flexible enough to meet the requirements of programmes. He/ she will ensure compliance with BRC's and back donor finance reporting requirements. To support and, where necessary, train BRC delegates and staff in BRC finance systems and processes. To support BDRCS in the development of annual programme budgets, and the BRC contribution to them.
∎ The Finance Manager will be directly reporting to the Country Manager of BRC Bangladesh and will work closely with the BRC International Finance in London.

∎ Ensure anti-discriminatory practice and promote diversity
∎ Flexibility to be available to provide out of hours finance support when required following major emergencies.
∎ Able to undertake travel to operational sites within the country periodically.
