Project Overview:
The Earth, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to community development, youth engagement, and volunteerism, is seeking for Finance & Admin Manager for a project to drive positive change and efficiency in Bangladesh.
The strategic partners for the project are Department of Youth and Development (DYD), National Youth Council (NYC), National Skills Development Authority (NSDA), Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB), USAID, ILO, EU, and the World Bank. The "BIJOYEE" project is a comprehensive Initiative focused on empowering and engaging young people in Bangladesh. It aims to address various aspects of youth development, including education, skill-building, employment, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and social inclusion. Through this integrated approach, the program aims to provide opportunities and support systems that enable youth to thrive, contribute to society, and become active participants in the nation`s progress. The project focuses on the youth (18-35) who are not in education employment or training (NEET) and who are living at or below the poverty line (15% will be EET).
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to provide accurate financial information to management.
Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
Conduct financial analysis to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure timely and accurate financial closing, including preparation of financial statements.
Coordinate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial plans.
Monitor budget performance and provide regular reports to management, highlighting any variances and recommending corrective actions.
Assist in the development and evaluation of financial strategies and long-term financial goals.
Coordinate and assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for necessary adjustments.
Supervise administrative functions such as facilities management, procurement, inventory control, and vendor management.
Develop administrative policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Manage relationships with external service providers and negotiate contracts as needed.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
