  • Age At least 18 years
  • At least three years of work experience in refugee camps or host communities in emergency response, specifically including data collection and cash/Non-Food Items distribution.

  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking, and other vulnerable groups; and,

  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organizations in a multi-cultural setting is advantageous.

  • Strong coordination, negotiation, mobilizing, and facilitation skills;

  • Proficient in computer applications will be an advantage;

  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision;

  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from various cultures and professional backgrounds.

Language:

  • Fluency in English and Bangla is required (oral and written).

  • Local Chittagonian language will be considered as an advantage



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Provide overall assistance in the implementation of the LPG activities according to the IOM procedures.

  • Coordinate and provide general assistance in the implementation of project activities, e.g., data collection (for assessment, project monitoring as post-distribution monitoring), distribution, training, ,crowd management and monitoring of cash for work labour in camps.

  • Lead a team of volunteers in charge of regular activities of LPG Programme and keep their daily work record, and ensure all activities are implemented as per IOM guidelines.

  • Coordinate the activities assigned to the Enroute field staff team and liaise with the IOM Field Assistant (supervisor) for instructions, daily reporting, and timely communication of any challenges identified.

  • Facilitate community meetings and other form of participatory approaches such as cash for work, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and safety audit/mapping with IOM supervisor’s instructions.

  • Support to produce relevant documentation (attendance sheet, assessment reporting, agenda, meeting minutes in English, Bengali and local language as required).

  • Support the IOM LPG teams in implementing a community-based complaint and feedback mechanism at the camp level.

  • Maintain good professional relationships with community representatives, Site Management, NGO partners, Camp in Charge, local government, and other relevant actors as needed.

  • Assist in maintaining proper records of porters who provide cylinder-carrying support to beneficiaries.

  • Assist in the daily monitoring of LPG stocks at storage/warehouse areas, and distribution points. Organize and supervise labour teams for the loading and unloading of materials.

  • Report to the line supervisor at the end of each day with an update on the assigned task.

  • Strictly adhere to the IOM Standards of Conduct and PSEA principles.

  • Perform any other task asked by the supervisor as appropriate.
