Responsibilities & Context:

Role of this Position:

The Field Organizer is responsible for delivering and implementing planned project activities at the community level within the agreed timeframe and to a high standard of quality. The position is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and monitoring project activities at the household and community levels, ensuring that planned interventions are implemented effectively, inclusively, and in accordance with project objectives and timelines.

The Field Organizer will work closely with vulnerable households, People’s Organizations, community groups, Community Climate Resilience Workers, local government institutions, government service providers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of project activities.

The Field Organizer will serve as a key driving force in achieving the project’s goals and objectives. He/She will play a central role in mobilizing and engaging communities respectfully and inclusively while ensuring adherence to the organization’s policies, mission, vision, values, and gender-related commitments.

The Field Organizer will also contribute to strengthening community participation, promoting inclusion and gender equality, and ensuring that project interventions are responsive to the needs and priorities of vulnerable and marginalized community members.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Implementation:

  • Study and internalize project documents, guidelines, work plans and implementation strategies.

  • Prepare and implement monthly field plans in consultation with the supervisor.

  • Ensure timely and quality implementation of assigned project activities at community level.

  • Monitor progress and identify implementation gaps and challenges.

Community Mobilization and People’s Organization:

  • Mobilize vulnerable households and community members for project participation.

  • Facilitate formation and strengthening of inclusive People’s Organizations.

  • Ensure meaningful participation of women, youth, persons with disabilities and other marginalized groups.

  • Strengthen leadership, group management, accountability and linkages with local government and service providers.

Climate-Resilient Livelihood Development:

  • Facilitate orientation and training on climate-resilient agriculture, fisheries, livestock and small-scale enterprises.

  • Support distribution and use of livelihood inputs and productive assets.

  • Facilitate skills development, entrepreneurship, savings and market linkages.

  • Conduct household visits and provide follow-up support to beneficiaries.

Disaster Management:

  • Facilitate community disaster management and early warning groups.

  • Facilitate community preparedness, contingency planning and anticipatory action.

  • Coordinate with Ward and Upazila Disaster Management Committees and relevant authorities.

Climate-Resilient WASH and Adaptation:

  • Facilitate community assessment and implementation of climate-resilient water, sanitation and hygiene solutions.

  • Support rainwater harvesting, water storage and other resilient water systems.

  • Facilitate community-based disaster risk reduction and LAPA processes.

  • Promote appropriate community mitigation measures such as solar, biogas, improved cookstoves and tree plantation.

Awareness:

  • Raise community awareness on climate governance and climate finance opportunities.

  • Facilitate access to relevant government and non-government climate finance information.

  • Support community-led monitoring and advocacy for equitable climate finance.

  • Document community experiences and challenges related to climate finance.

Gender, Inclusion and Safeguarding:

  • Promote gender equality, disability and social inclusion in all project activities.

  • Ensure safe and meaningful participation of women and vulnerable groups.

  • Comply with CCDB safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • Facilitate awareness on safeguarding, feedback and grievance mechanisms and report concerns through appropriate channels.

Stakeholder Coordination and Networking:

  • Maintain professional relationships with Union Parishad, government officials, NGOs, service providers and other stakeholders.

  • Participate in relevant coordination meetings and share project progress and community priorities.

  • Facilitate linkages between communities and relevant services, institutions and market actors.

  • Support stakeholder and project field visits.

Monitoring, Documentation and Reporting:

  • Collect and maintain accurate project data and beneficiary records.

  • Conduct field monitoring and verify implementation progress.

  • Support baseline, monitoring, review and endline activities.

  • Document success stories, challenges, case studies and lessons learned.

  • Prepare and submit timely field reports to the supervisor.

Others:

  • Participate in staff meetings, training, workshops and capacity-building activities.

  • Maintain organizational discipline, confidentiality and professional conduct.

  • Support CCDB monitoring, evaluation and learning processes.

  • Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the organization or management.
