Education: - Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, Environment Engineering or related discipline
Requirements: Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - 3-5 years of field implementation experience in WASH or community infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of construction practices in coastal areas
- Experience in vendor management, labor mobilization and stakeholder coordination
- Excellent communication, facilitation and documentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and field-level reporting
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities
- Fluent in Bangla; basic English preferred
Responsibilities & Context: Responsible for:
- Conduct community consultations and mobilize participation for all interventions.
- Maintain coordination with Union Parishad, BWDB, DPHE, LGED and other stakeholders to align activities and obtain support.
- Supervise and ensure quality implementation of Multi-source Water Treatment Plant construction, Hygiene Latrine installation, Cyclone-resilient house construction, Internal canal re-excavation, embankment protection works, Repair and maintenance of existing sluice gates.
- Local market development with WASH facilities and small sheds for shops
- Repair, maintenance and improvement of roads, bridges and community infrastructure
- Ensure all activities follow technical standards, safety guidelines and environmental compliance.
- Mobilize and supervise skilled and unskilled laborers and vendors.
- Maintain the site-level stock register and monitor use of materials.
- Verify delivery and quality of materials from vendors and suppliers.
- Prepare materials requisitions, site-level bills and vouchers.
- Support the Finance Officer in timely payment of laborers and vendors.
- Maintain daily work logs, photographs and progress reports.
- Fill up monitoring checklists and update the Site Order Book regularly.
- Report technical and social challenges to the Project Officer promptly.
- Support baseline, monitoring and evaluation surveys.
- Conduct sessions on hygiene, sanitation, water safety and disaster preparedness.
- Support training for local masons on environment-friendly construction practices.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Project Officer or Sector Specialist.
