Education:

• BA/ B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Fashion Design & Technology from any reputed fashion design institute.

• Age At most 35 years

• Experienced candidates will be preferred.

• Fashion Design.
• The applicants should have experience in life style brand / local fashion house.
• Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset time-frame.
• Excellent in inter-personal & communication skills.

• An eye for color and a feel for fabrics and materials.
• Ability to generate ideas and concepts.
• Understand Fashion Trend Well.
• Design and visualization skills, either by hand or through computer-aided design (CAD).
• Technical skills, including pattern cutting.

• Ability to negotiate and to influence others.

Job Context:

Gram Unnayan Karma (GUK) is a national non-government development organization in Bangladesh. This organization is helping the under-privileged people of Bangladesh by providing financial support, education, healthcare, capacity building training, women empowerment, entrepreneurship development, disaster response & climate change, market linkage etc. that enhance their lives & livelihoods. GUK is operating its activities in 56 districts of Bangladesh by setting up 500 offices and deploying more than 5500 employees.

GUK has taken a special initiative for prevention and control of needless and blindness of the mass people and therefore, the organization has established 3 modern well equipped eye hospitals in Dhaka, Bogura and Dinajpur for providing quality eye care service at affordable cost. GUK also has another initiative of clothing brand named gGalore. It has been operating its own lifestyle fashion brands & accessories through three outlets located at Dhaka and Bogura. gGalore is looking for skilled candidate for the mentioned position.

Job Responsibility:

• Managing design process from conception through to final styling.
• Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
• Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
• Sourcing and Selecting fabrics and trims.
• Creating production sketches for development packages.
• Collaborating with technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.
• Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
• Working with others in the design team to develop products to meet a brief
• Maintain close relationship with the marketing and merchandising team to create ranges for all customers.
• Analyze and clear understating of design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs
• Negotiating with customers suppliers
• Any other responsibility assign by the management.
