Responsibilities & Context:
-Provide primary eye care services.
-Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose vision problems.
-Assist minor and major eye surgeries as required.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, medications or recommended surgical treatment, if necessary.
- Assess and examine patients in order to make a diagnosis.
-Operate equipment such as ophthalmoscopes, slit lamps, etc.
- Manage eye camp.
-Follow-up care and counseling to patients regarding eye health.
- Refer patients to the base hospital, when advanced
- Support patients via “Tele” Communication Systems where applicable care is needed.
- Any other task to be assigned by the higher authority
