Responsibilities & Context:
Provide primary eye care services.
Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose vision problems.
Assist minor and major eye surgeries as required.
Prescribe corrective lenses, medications or recommended surgical treatment, if necessary.
Assess and examine patients in order to make a diagnosis.
Operate equipment such as ophthalmoscopes, slit lamps, etc.
Manage eye camp.
Follow-up care and counseling to patients regarding eye health.
Refer patients to the base hospital, when advanced
Support patients via “Tele” Communication Systems where applicable care is needed.
Any other task to be assigned by the higher authority
