Job Description / Responsibilities
Documentation Management: Oversee all aspects of international sea and air freight documentation.
Booking Processing: Receive and manage bookings from shippers and importers, ensuring timely arrangements that meet consignee requirements.
Carrier Coordination: Handle booking processes with various carriers using online platforms for efficient operations.
Document Preparation: Process and prepare essential shipping documents, including Shipping Orders, HBL, Shipment Advises, Debit Notes, and Credit Notes.
B/L Submission: B/L process, submitting drafts to different carriers and ensuring accuracy before finalization.
Regulatory Compliance: File necessary documentation, submit EGM/IGM based on shipment needs.
Pre-Alert Notifications: Communicate pre-alerts to buyers and agents about upcoming shipments.
Original BL Handling: Generate and surrender original B/L to shippers, ensuring all documentation is accurately processed.
Tracking Monitoring: Keep track of container information and mother vessel connections, updating vendors on any changes as needed.
Information Distribution: Provide shippers with necessary information, including scanned copies of original documents and tracking details.
Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with consignees, customers, and vendors to facilitate smooth operations.
Customer Support: Prioritize customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries through calls and emails, adhering to established guidelines.
Record Keeping: Organize and maintain records in compliance with company procedures.
Rate Negotiation: Negotiate shipping rates with carriers and keep the sales team updated.
Additional Support: Perform other tasks as assigned by management to enhance overall operations.
