Job Context:
∎ PwC provides professional services, including audit and assurance, tax and consulting, covering such areas as cybersecurity and privacy, human resources, deals, and forensics to clients in Bangladesh. We are hiring an Executive Director, Direct Tax to join the team in Dhaka.
∎ We are seeking an Executive Director to lead the strategic growth of our Direct Tax practice, driving client relationships, business development, and compliance engagements.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee client management, development, and business initiatives, securing proposals, and acquiring work opportunities and successes.
∎ Manage independent Advisory and Compliance projects within Direct Tax laws, including Tax Structuring, ongoing Compliance, Litigation support, etc.
∎ Analyze and interpret provisions of the Income Tax Ordinance, related circulars,
∎ International Tax, and Tax Treaties independently.
∎ Independently assess Transfer Pricing provisions under the Income Tax Ordinance and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development regulations.
∎ Provide comprehensive solutions accounting for diverse laws like Corporate Tax, Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, Corporate Law, etc.
∎ Foster team growth through challenging tasks, coaching, trust-building, and recognizing contributions.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 60 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ In-depth knowledge required in Direct Tax, Corporate Tax, Corporate Law, International Tax, Foreign Exchange Regulation, and Transfer Pricing
∎ Qualified Chartered Accountant with 10-12 years of post-qualification work experience; 6-8 years of consulting experience in MNC consulting or Big Four firms handling manufacturing and service industry
∎ Expertise in cross-border transactions, tax treaties, and OECD guidelines
∎ Digital acumen: The suitable candidate should have demonstrable expertise and experience in working with tax-specific digital tools and processes as per modern tax practices.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ USD 94,700 – USD 98,400 (Annually)
