Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering, Masters in Engineering (MEngg) in Environmental Science, PhD in Environmental Science
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Engineering, Master of Science (MSc) in Environmental Engineering with Ph.D focused on environmental management from reputed Universities (Ph.D is preferably from North American University).

Experience Requirements:
∎ 25 to 30 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The tasks, roles and responsibilities pertaining to the job role of an Environmental Expert & Team Leader will include but not limited to the following:
∎ “As-is” Assessment of existing Organization Structure, authorities, policies and procedures for clients.
∎ Consultations with Management and Planning Department of clients.
∎ Conduct Organizational readiness and impact assessment for clients.
∎ Scoping of responsibility or expectation of E&S unit for future projects financed internally or by IDA for clients.
∎ Develop Vision for the department
∎ Develop financial implication of the strengthening of E&S unit
∎ Leading a team of 10 multi-disciplinary members to conduct capacity building of clients in E&S risk management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 25-30 years of specific Environmental and Social safeguard experience with multilaterals like World Bank, Asian Development Bank. Experience in Developing policies and framework for multilaterals is highly preferred.
∎ Must have experience in environmental management of power transmission projects including associated facilities (access roads, transmission lines, substations, etc.) for 30 years.
∎ Must have experience in conducting environmental management of projects which includes construction work in sensitive habitats i.e. wetlands, forests, water courses.
∎ He/she have a practical experience of 5 Nos projects in High Voltage Transmission Line Projects as Environmental Expert, Organizational Development
∎ Should have practical experience of at least 5 nos projects in power sector/ high voltage transmission line projects as environmental expert.
∎ Extensive knowledge of development and sustainability through work experience in developed regions like North America as well as developing regions like Latin America, South and South East Asia.
∎ Candidates must have willingness for extensive travel in different parts of Bangladesh and also in abroad.
