• Age 25 to 40 years

• Assist the Consultant Gastroenterologist in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Sigmoidoscopy, and other related procedures.

• Prepare the endoscopy suite and ensure that all required instruments, accessories, and equipment are ready before each procedure.

• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and ensure adherence to infection control protocols throughout the procedures.

• Handle, clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopic instruments and accessories following hospital guidelines and manufacturer recommendations.

• Operate and maintain endoscopy equipment, including light sources, video processors, and suction units, ensuring they are in proper working condition.

• Assist in patient preparation, including verifying patient identity, explaining the procedure, and ensuring appropriate pre-procedure requirements are met.

• Monitor patients during and after procedures, ensuring comfort and promptly reporting any complications to the Consultant.

• Collect, label, and dispatch biopsy or specimen samples appropriately for laboratory processing.

• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, equipment usage, and sterilization logs.

• Coordinate with nursing staff, biomedical engineering, and housekeeping for the smooth functioning of the endoscopy unit.

• To work as a consultant attendant when there is no Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy and other related procedures.
