Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

BAPSA is implementing the project "Strengthening Sexual and Reproductive Health and Wellbeing Services among Adolescents through Engaging Adolescents and Youth in Selected Districts of Bangladesh,” supported by UNICEF.

On an emergency basis, some District Coordinators will be recruited under a short-term contract for the smooth implementation of the project.

Possible Joining Date: 20-09-2025

Contract Duration: 4.5 months

Length of the contract: 20-09-2025 to 31-01-2026

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and coordinate with district, upazila, and union-level officials of DGHS, DGFP, the education department, and other stakeholders.
  • Engage youth and adolescent platforms to organize:
  • 2 sub-national level workshops in each district.
  • Activation and quarterly meetings of the Adolescent Health Coordination Committee (AHCC).
  • Training sessions for 200 frontline workers and 200 teachers on adolescent health awareness.
  • Awareness sessions for 1,500 adolescents and youth in each district.
  • Selection and capacity building of 5 youth peer educators per district.
  • Digital webinars, adolescent health fairs, debates, and virtual competitions.
  • Social media campaigns and observance of international days (Youth Day, Mental Health Day, etc.).
  • Build mechanisms to support 300 community clinics as hubs for Adolescent-Friendly Health Services (AFHS).
  • Monitor adolescent health awareness sessions at schools and youth platforms.
  • Report directly to the team leader and focal point.
