Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in fabric sourcing, with a focus on knitted, woven, and denim fabrics for fashion and workwear.

• Strong technical knowledge of fabric production processes, including knitting, weaving, dyeing, yarn dyeing, and garmenting.

• Proven ability to manage fabric sourcing operations in Bangladesh and international markets.

• Expertise in handling fabric testing, quality control, and technical approvals.

• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers.

• Experience leading teams and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market trends, pricing strategies, and supplier capabilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategies effectively to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in sustainability initiatives and sourcing eco-friendly fabrics.

• Prior leadership experience in a similar role within the apparel or textile industry.

Job Overview:

The Director will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of fabric procurement, development, and sourcing for our fashion and workwear divisions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sourcing, technical evaluation, and product development for woven, knitted, and denim fabrics. This role involves direct coordination with suppliers, internal teams, and customers to ensure the highest quality standards are met while maintaining cost efficiency and market competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the global sourcing of fabrics, yarn, and trims, ensuring consistent quality and cost-effectiveness.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with overseas suppliers, focusing on China, India, and other key textile hubs.

• Oversee the entire process from fabric development, sampling, and product testing to bulk production and final shipment.

• Collaborate with the design, product development, and merchandising teams to introduce innovative fabric solutions that align with fashion trends and customer needs.

• Ensure fabric quality compliance within AQL levels and manage technical approval processes from grey to finished products.

• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with fabric mills and suppliers.

• Stay updated on the latest developments in fabric technology and sustainability to guide new product development and sourcing strategies.

• Lead market research to identify emerging trends in fabrics, yarns, and finishes, ensuring the company stays ahead in a competitive market.

• Support the production and QA teams with technical expertise, resolving issues related to fabric specifications, performance, and quality.
