Job Responsibilities:
∎ Is a key leadership position for Plan International Bangladesh and is a core member of the country management team.
∎ Leads and supervises: 4 divisional/geographic managers, including the Director Cox Bazar; DRR and Humanitarian Manager; Gender and Inclusion Advisor; WASH specialist, and CoPs/Programme Directors. Currently 7 direct line reports, who in turn manage a team of around 200 (including the whole Cox Bazar team).
∎ Oversees an annual budget of USD 25M+ per annum and is accountable for achieving objectives as per grant agreements and plans.
∎ Collaborates and works with the Director Programme Development & Learning, Director Girls Rights and the Country Director for all program resource mobilisation needs.
∎ Leads the countries DRM and humanitarian portfolio. In the event of a large-scale emergency steps into the line, taking on direct line management of the 1st phase on a response
∎ Is an advocate and champions gender equality, both in programmes as well as within the programme team structure.
Additional Requirements:
∎ We are looking for an inspiring and dynamic leader with a minimum of 7 years senior programme management experience.
∎ The post hold will need to have a high level of comfort with, and experience in adaptive programme management, and have proven experience of triple nexus programming, and managing large humanitarian programmes.
