Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position will lead and oversee (in collaboration with other technical staff) the development and delivery of a high quality, innovative, cost effective and sustainable program resulting in the development of increased learning opportunities that are safe for learners as well as education staff.
∎ S/he will oversee collaboration with authorities to develop and strengthen policies and systems for school safety and Provide technical and program oversight in the design and day-to-day management of implementation.
∎ S/he will provide technical leadership in safe school approaches as well as psychosocial well-being to implement the program to achieve its results, document and disseminate innovation and good practices.
∎ S/he will ensure technical and methodological soundness of activities and, in collaboration with the project team and partners, support the design of service delivery strategies, based on sound and current scientific evidence.
∎ Collaborate closely with the Ministry of Education and key USAID Implementing Partners and other donors and key stakeholders.
∎ Based on collaboration and in consultation with USAID, refine and adjust technical approaches and annual work plans.
∎ S/he will identify innovation and good practices for effective implementation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 7 years of experience with progressively increasing responsibility for designing, managing, and implementing complex education programming in developing countries involving multiple stakeholders and implementing partners
∎ At least three years of experience providing technical leadership on large-scale USAID funded projects and designing and implementing education programming, preferably in Southeast Asia
∎ Demonstrated hands-on experience in building Ministry of Education capacity to provide safe education opportunities in formal and non-formal schools.
∎ Ability to collaborate and liaise with senior MoE officials, other USAID implementing partners, other relevant education sector programs, and senior members of the donor community
∎ Proven track record managing a project team composed of several technical experts from multi-cultural backgrounds and fostering team work
∎ Strengths in inspiring and enabling others through training, and capacity building to realize organizational objectives.
∎ Strong oral, written, and presentations skills in English. Knowledge of Bangla language is required
