Job Responsibilities:
∎ To run the delivery and day-to-day operations of digital distribution and interaction elements of a range of projects.
∎ This will include content on social media, mobile and other online content.
∎ Working in close collaboration with project and production teams across the organisation, the Digital Officer will ensure that the interactive, online, mobile and social media operations for multiple projects are delivered on time and on budget.
∎ Manage the operation of mobile, social media and other digital products across different projects, regularly monitoring functionality.
∎ Produce and update content distribution plans, in agreement with project and production teams, and carry out content uploading and boosting.
∎ Monitor audience comments and escalate potential editorial / moderation issues to more senior staff as required.
∎ Analyse usage statistics and metrics for social media platforms, providing insights and summaries for project and production teams to help inform creative and strategic decision-making.
∎ Collect and analyse comments and other audience feedback.
∎ Work with research teams to support audience research related to digital platforms.
∎ Contribute to country office strategy and planning for future digital interventions.
∎ Keep updated about technical and editorial developments in the digital field and within the BBC, and provide briefings and advice to project, production and research teams and to the Bangladesh leadership team.
∎ Any other task commensurate with the role, as assigned by line manager or designee.
