Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop work plans on monthly basis and work with the program manager to ensure that the curriculum meets professional standards
∎ Recruit, train and establish/update the database of all the staff in the respective zone of responsibility
∎ Provide technical and managerial supervision to the staff including giving guidance, and advice on their work, monitoring, and evaluating their performance
∎ Serve as a focal point in the dissemination of information from UNHCR and other service providers to the Staff ensuring that they have relevant, up-to-date information necessary to perform their duties
∎ Keep the COMs motivated and participate in building their knowledge, expertise, and experience in core and cross functional skills
∎ Promote and do what is necessary to support the COMs in finding community based solutions to protection problems identified in the community
∎ Complete and submit timely and accurate reports on the following
∎ Daily COMs’ activities, types of specific needs identified, actions and recommendations made by COMs, Awareness Sessions conducted by COMS, and Training Conducted by COMs
∎ Protection concerns of refugee communities/groups raised by COMs and share to UNHCR accordingly
∎ Working on budget preparation, reviewing team, and keep following up the expenditures
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
