Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Deputy Manager - Training and Development (Burmese Language) is mainly responsible to support in carryout Teachers' Professional Development (TPD) activities focusing on Burmese Language training need assessment, training materials adaptation and development, training facilitation and quality monitoring of learning practices within the EiE response in Cox's Bazar.
∎ S/he will work under the direct guidance from the Managers- Materials Development and Training. and work in close collaboration with the Capacity Building Specialist and operations team.
∎ S/he will closely work with the EiE implementing agencies e.g. organize and facilitate ToT on Burmese Language for the Technical Staff who will cascade the training to the teachers working in different agencies under wider Education Sector.
∎ The incumbent will prepare Burmese Language training and workshop calendar in consultation with the agencies and provide ongoing capacity building and promotion of peer learning of partner staff through conducting peer learning meetings with the Technical Officers/ RT in every month.
∎ It is expected that the Deputy Manager will spend a large volume of time in field, ensuring quality of EiE intervention.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years of working experience in emergency contexts, preferably in Education in Emergency.
∎ Fluency in Burmese Language is mandatory.
∎ Capacity to carry out training needs assessment and contribute in existing Burmese training modules, conducting FGD with the technical staff and Rohingya teachers of EiE implementing agencies
∎ Strong Ability to identify the quality issues in EiE in the given context and implement field-level solutions.
∎ Sound knowledge and experience in using established inter-agency standards or SCI packages in EiE, such as the INEE MS, TICC, LWiE, PSS/PFA, Life Skills, DRR, etc.
∎ Ability to monitor of teachers' training provided by the TOs and provide necessary guidance to the TOs to improve training quality.
∎ Strong facilitation skill mandatory for this position.
∎ Proficiency on computer using, MS Office specially power point.
