Bachelor`s degree with a major in Finance or Accounting from a reputed university.

• Qualified Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) is mandatory.

• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in costing, budgeting, and financial analysis.

• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; SAP FICO experience is preferred.

• Strong exposure to costing, budgeting, and management reporting modules.

• Solid analytical capability in cost control, variance analysis, and profitability assessment.

• Proven leadership skills to manage and develop a specialized costing and budgeting team.

Job Description

• Establish, maintain, and control standard costing systems for materials, labor, and overheads across pharmaceutical operations.

• Lead product-wise, batch-wise, job, and process costing to support pricing, margin analysis, and profitability decisions.

• Analyze batch yields, production efficiency, and cost variances; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.

• Prepare special costings for tenders, contract manufacturing, export sales, and new product launches.

• Develop and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets in line with business plans and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare and monitor flexible budgets based on production volume and capacity utilization.

• Design and strengthen budgetary control systems to ensure effective cost governance across departments.

• Conduct budget and cost variance analysis (materials, labor, and overheads) and present actionable MIS reports to management.

• Prepare product-wise and batch-wise profitability analysis to support strategic decision-making.

• Apply marginal and differential costing techniques for pricing, make-or-buy decisions, and capacity optimization.

• Perform production bottleneck and capacity analysis to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.

• Ensure effective utilization and governance of SAP FICO for costing, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Costing & Budgeting team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
