Job Context:
∎ Job Location: BRAC International, Head Office, Dhaka
∎ Employment type: Regular/Contractual
∎ The purpose of this position is to ensure effective and efficient management of the NGO budgets of BRAC International countries including its compliance, monitoring, financial analysis for external and internal stakeholders, effective liaison with country finance team to ensure budget control and management, capacity building of country accountants etc. Job responsibilities include but not limited to the following-
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for overall budget management of BRAC International countries.
∎ Closely work with Head of Financial Planning to check compliance of the newly prepared budgets with Budget Guidelines of BRAC International and other donors like USAID, GAC, EU, etc.; Keeping track of all the budgets.
∎ Working directly with proposal development team and providing necessary support to complete the budget submission to donor within the deadline;
∎ Liaison with country head of finance to resolve issues identified in the draft budget before submission to donor;
∎ Prepare a donor compliance checklist and ensure compliance with Donor agreements.
∎ Ensuring timely submission of all the financial reports to the donors.
∎ Ensure the proper segment wise accounting are being maintained and segmental financial reports are being prepared on a timely basis.
∎ Ensuring project wise accounting are being maintained for all the projects.
∎ Ensuring that GL of major financial transactions are being reviewed and the transactions were approved by the appropriate authority.
∎ Acting as the fund manager for different donor funded projects and work as focal person for assigned projects; Ensuring all required donor report are submitted on time.
∎ Prepare and circulate periodic update reports to relevant stakeholders.
∎ Providing technical support to IT team in developing various software modules
∎ Identify operations and system improvement areas for the finance function and manage change implementation process.
∎ To accomplish any other duties as delegated by supervisors.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Required Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
∎ Advance computer proficiency on MS office and excel;
∎ Orientation with ERP & finance module;
∎ Strong interpersonal/ communication skills;
∎ Ability to take independent decisions
∎ Experience Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 year of experience in international NGO.
∎ Experience in donor funded projects with understanding about rules and regulation of major donors;
∎ Experience in working with cross boarder team and culture.
