Job Context:
∎ Project Brief: Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED), BRAC University (BRACU) is looking for a "Data Verification and Validation Officer" for the ready-made garment (RMG) related project titled "Mapped in Bangladesh (MiB)" formerly Digital RMG Factory Mapping in Bangladesh (DRFM-B). The project aims to build an interactive, digital map for the Bangladeshi RMG sector by offering credible and comprehensive industry-relevant data through a publicly accessible RMG database for strengthening prevailing working conditions in the Bangladeshi RMG sector. ∎ Position Summary: The "Data Verification and Validation Officer" will support the project team in safeguarding factory data/information quality by ensuring data validation protocols, rules and mechanisms, identifying frequent user errors, and working with all team members to strengthen documentation and user competence.
∎ Job Location: Based in Dhaka, with field trips within Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that the information collected by the Field Enumeratorson the electronic systems, at factorylevel, is accurately uploaded, managed, updated and validated before being reported to the System Development Coordinator (SDC).
∎ Communicate with sector stakeholders for data verification.
∎ Assist in identifying the key problems in data fields, database and other research methodology and bring to the attentionof the project management team.
∎ Validate and upload collected factory data on daily basis.
∎ Review, approval and implementation of validation documentation.
∎ Assisting in the coordination of validation activities.
∎ Checking and approval of validation data and some samples.
∎ Monitor work flow and completes all tasks according toestablished survey schedules.
∎ Ensure that any guidelines provided by the technical experts and Project Manager for enhanced data validation are followed.
∎ Online clearing of data on regular basis to keep the database up to date.
∎ Work in close collaboration with project team, and ensure data collection validity, authenticity and completeness of reporting.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years' experience ideally in a similar role, especially for extensive research studies, is required.
∎ In-depth skill and knowledge on using computers, tabs, GIS device, etc.
∎ Familiarity with data analysis packages like SPSS, STATA, including analysis in MS Excel.
∎ Show commitment to quality and excellence, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
∎ Good problem solving skills; along with a keen eye for details.
∎ Substantial knowledge on the Ready-Made Garment (RMG) industry in Bangladesh is preferable.
