Job Context: We are looking to hire an experienced different position as News Portal Content Editing & Graphics, News Portal Full HD Camera Operating, Computer Operator of News Room to help drive of GS News a sisters’s concern of Goldsands Group. In this position, you will be involved in a news portal is a specialized visual journalist responsible for capturing high-quality video content for digital, online news platforms, involves a high-pressure, fast-paced environment where editorial accuracy and plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of information from journalists to the public, particularly under the high-pressure environment of strict deadlines. Job Responsibilities:
Content Editing & Graphics for News Portal :
Content Refining & Quality Control: Review, edit, and proofread articles for clarity, tone, and adherence to AP Style or house style guides. Ensure all reporting is fact-checked and free of libel or plagiarism.
Digital Optimization: Optimize headlines and body copy for SEO to maximize search engine visibility. Manage the content lifecycle within a Content Management System (CMS) like Word Press or Drupal.
Graphic Design & Visual Storytelling: Create high-impact visuals, including social media thumbnails, info graphics, and featured images that complement news stories.
Multimedia Integration: Use tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) to edit short-form news videos, GIFs, and motion graphics for social platforms.
Breaking News Coordination: Monitor live feeds and wire services (e.g., Associated Press) to quickly package and publish breaking news with relevant visuals.
Full HD Camera Operator for News Portal
Field & Studio Operation: Operate professional Full HD ENG (Electronic News Gathering) cameras to record news, live events, and interviews in diverse environments.
Visual Storytelling: Collaborate with reporters and producers to determine the best shot composition, framing, and angles to align with the news narrative.
Technical Setup: Assemble and position equipment, including cameras, lenses, tripods, and stabilizers, while ensuring proper lighting and audio quality for every shoot.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on all camera gear to ensure it is in optimal working order, troubleshooting any technical issues on-site.
Post-Production Support: Often required to edit raw footage using non-linear editing software (like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro) and prepare it for publication on the news portal.
Live Transmission: Manage live streaming and transmission equipment for breaking news or planned live segments.
Computer Operator of News Room
Page Layout & Design: Assemble and check newspaper pages using desktop publishing software like Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator to arrange text and graphics.
Data Entry & Formatting: Type submitted copy (articles, classifieds, or notices) and apply specific marking codes for font, size, and style as per newspaper specifications.
Proofreading & Quality Control: Review digital documents for grammatical and typographical errors and ensure all elements align with the editor’s vision.
System Monitoring: Oversee computer terminals and print consoles to ensure operations are running smoothly and respond to any error messages.
Hardware Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on printers, scanners, and terminals, including changing toner/ink and loading paper.
Data Management: Perform regular backups of digital files and maintain organized digital filing systems to prevent data loss.
