Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science
∎ Bachelors in Environmental Science/Environmental Management or relevant discipline from a well reputed university.
∎ Having a masters will be an added advantage

∎ 3 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The consultant is primarily expected to work on Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, Environmental Reviews and Environmental due diligence/non-assurance E&S assessment for government and private sector clients in Bangladesh.
∎ Develop environmental and social baseline through secondary literature review and stakeholder consultations for Environmental and Social Assessments. Environmental and social baseline study may involve monitoring and supervising survey firms in gathering primary data from the project sites.
∎ Analyze field data and draft the relevant sections of the ESIA or review reports.
∎ Develop mitigation measures taking into consideration site specific E&S risks or impacts.
∎ Develop environmental and social management plans to uphold environmental and social safeguards throughout the project implementation cycle.
∎ Responsible for maintaining PwC’s internal compliance checks with respect to business development and ongoing engagements with the help of seniors. Should actively monitor and follow-up to uphold internal risk and quality compliance proceedings with respective Risk and Independence teams.
∎ Responsible for generating leads from potential government, IDA or private clients in Bangladesh.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Work experience on IFC Performance Standards/ World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework/ ADB’s SPS 2009.
∎ Understanding of local and international standards and regulations pertaining to ESHS aspects.
∎ Experience with GIS Software, Air or Water Modeling software would be advantageous.
∎ Certifications on ISO 14001 and 45001 would also be advantageous.
∎ Experience in climate change and disaster management, sustainable financing, sustainable supply chain in addition to ESIA experience would be advantageous.
∎ The job role may require extensive traveling and therefore, the ideal candidate should be open to travel for an extensive period independently.
