CSS is a humanitarian and socio-economic development organization that has been operating in Bangladesh since 1972. Within the Health Sector, CSS manages the Reverend Abdul Wadud Memorial Hospital (RAWMH), a 100-bed general hospital located in Tilok, Rupsha, Khulna. The hospital provides comprehensive healthcare services including Eye, Mother & Child, Dental, ENT, Orthopedic, and General units. We are seeking a qualified and experienced candidate for this hospital's "Consultant-Gynae & Obs (Gynaecology and Obstetrics)" position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide medical consultations (including case history review, investigations, and treatment prescriptions) to outpatients of the Mother and Child Unit (MCU).

• Deliver services to inpatients following admission. In emergency cases, conduct examinations promptly and arrange cross-consultations with other physicians if necessary.

• Conduct regular rounds in the MCU ward, paying special attention to complicated and critical cases related to gynecology and obstetrics.

• Provide instructions and supervise on-duty staff/nurse to ensure proper care and attendance for inpatients.

• Offer guidance/advice on patient discharge through written instructions and prescriptions.

• Maintain comprehensive case records for inpatients, documenting all procedures undertaken.

• Perform various gynecological and obstetric surgical procedures, maintaining written records of each procedure.

• Ensure safe normal deliveries with the consultation and assistance of senior/midwifery nurses.

• Provide counseling and explanations to patients' relatives (and patients themselves) in critical cases.

• Train and educate nurses and other staff members, including teaching nursing institute students if required.

• Any other duties as assigned from time to time.
