Job Context:
∎ Working as an important member of a diverse team who are committed to serve the world`s most vulnerable with practical and compassionate care. The CHS is responsible to provide day to day oversight of all community health activities at the assigned Rohingya refugee camp, collaborate effectively with government authorities, local communities and other implementing partners, and ensure health promotion to the beneficiaries as per standard guidelines.
∎ World Concern has been operational in Camp 20 Extension since early 2018 and Camp 20 since January 2020, with ongoing health operations providing quality promotive, preventive and curative primary health care with facility and outreach-based interventions in partnership with Medair, RRRC, IOM and other relevant stakeholders. In addition, World Concern has been implementing Nutrition and Shelter Projects in other camps to achieve the desired objectives set in its strategic plan.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Technical - Health Promotion:
∎ Responsible to manage and oversee community health volunteers (CHV) to carry out social behaviour change communication (SBCC) among the catchment population.
∎ With the support of the Health Project Manager/Health Manager, recruit qualified CHVs
∎ Provide training to CHVs on community health and nutrition activities.
∎ Support planning for health and nutrition activities at community level in line with national/local guidelines
∎ Conduct detailed mapping of the site catchment areas as and when required

∎ Staff Management :
∎ Supervise CHVs at the camp including monitoring attendance and timesheets
∎ Provide regular supportive supervision to CHVs to enable them to perform their duties effectively
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions
∎ Assign work to each CHVs and ensure they understand their job

∎ Coordination and Representation:
∎ Coordinate the dissemination of health and nutrition promotional messages in the targeted community
∎ Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the Camp in Charge (CIC) authority, Health Focal Point, local communities and other implementing partners
∎ Represent World Concern/Medair in camp coordination meetings and camp health sector meetings
∎ Ensure staff of referral facilities are informed of all aspects of the program, including referral and counter-referral criteria and process

∎ Monitoring and Reporting:
∎ Responsible to oversee compiling and collecting of relevant community health information/data on a weekly and monthly basis.
∎ Review, and submit required daily and weekly stock requests for approval by the Health Manager
∎ Monitor and supervise data collection by volunteers and ensuring accuracy and completeness
∎ Report any suspected or identified fraud cases at the health post site to the Health Manager
∎ Identify and reporting challenges faced in implementation for timely resolution
∎ Accountability and Quality Management:
∎ Ensure proper documentation is completed to record and monitor beneficiary measurements and registration, clinical diagnoses, food rations, stock reports, drug monitoring and tracking, referrals, and any other relevant documentation as it arises
∎ Promote and use the Medair Intranet, Portfolio, BOX and standard operating procedures, ensuring that all standardised formats are used and guidelines are followed
∎ Any other duties within his/her scope of works as assigned by supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years working experience in the primary health care, preferably in emergency humanitarian settings
∎ Working with DGHS, Bangladesh (Desirable)
∎ Proficiency in English
∎ Efficient use of Excel, Word and Power Point Presentation
∎ Experience and skills in training delivery, preferably related to SBCC
∎ Motivation: Desire to serve the refugee community
∎ Team building: A team player, with the ability to network and work effectively in a multicultural setting
∎ Adaptability: Cultural sensitivity and a demonstrated understanding of humanitarian context
∎ Management & Leadership: Good interpersonal skills; good at meeting deadlines with the capacity to work and deliver under pressure with minimum supervision.
