∎ With the supervision by the “Senior Manager – Communication, Media, Advocacy & CwC”, the “Manager – CwC” will be mainly responsible for implementation of the Communication with Communities (CwC) program under the Cox’s Bazar base of Action Against Hunger. Besides CwC projects management, s/he will contribute significantly in core communication and will ensure that Action Against Hunger’s active participation in external forums and coordination structures.
∎ In order to accomplish the above, s/he will form and maintain a thorough understanding of Action Against Hunger’s history, values, culture, policies, long-term programming strategies, comparative advantage, core business and will carry out any relevant task assigned by the line manager.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Management: Communication with Communities (CwC) Program
∎ Under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Communication, Media, Advocacy & CwC, plan and implement Communication with Communities program in Cox’s Bazar.
∎ With guidance of the line manager, ensure smooth implementation of CwC activities (e.g. installation of Information Hubs) and delivery of high quality program.
∎ With close supervision of the line manager, coordinate resources for the flawless, on-time, within scope and within budget execution of CwC projects.
∎ Forecast and track different budgets for CwC.
∎ Under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Communication, Media, Advocacy & CwC, implement proper monitoring and evaluation mechanisms for CwC activities in coordination with the MEAL team.
∎ With guidance of the line manager, document and capitalize CwC specific activities.
∎ Under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Communication, Media, Advocacy & CwC, conduct different surveys & assessments.
∎ Generate CwC Project reports, APRs, 4Ws, SitReps, survey & assessment reports with compliance to donors’ guidelines and contracts.
∎ Actively contribute in CwC mainstreaming in Action Against Hunger’s programming, led by ‘Communications & Advocacy unit’ based in mission office in Dhaka.
∎ Support the line manager to act as key focal for Communications with Communities (CwC) in Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Communication: Media Management, Coordination, Liaison and Advocacy
∎ Under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Communication, Media, Advocacy & CwC, coordinate with Action Against Hunger’s partner agencies and local media on effective and efficient implementation of CwC activities and other programs in Cox’s Bazar.
∎ Support line manager to act as the focal for coordination and liaison with external stakeholders for base level advocacy for CwC mainstreaming.
∎ Participate in external platforms and networks to represent and promote Action Against Hunger’s CwC program.
∎ Under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Communication, Media, Advocacy & CwC, facilitate donor visits, HQ staff visits, communication agencies visits, especially to Info Hubs.
∎ Support line manager to coordinate with Action Against Hunger’s Communication & Advocacy unit based in mission office in Dhaka to highlight CwC programs in national and international platforms.
∎ Under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Communication, Media, Advocacy & CwC, develop an advocacy action plan for CwC mainstreaming in Action Against Hunger’s programming.
∎ Support line manager to act as the focal to manage media queries and media relations, organise media visits to Action Against Hunger fields and organise media interviews to highlight CwC program.
∎ Identify opportunities to highlight Action Against Hunger’s CwC work in the media.
∎ Support line manager to improve organisational capacity on CwC program implementation through training sessions.
∎ Organize events to highlight Action Against Hunger’s CwC activities.
∎ Branding & Visibility
∎ Under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Communication, Media, Advocacy & CwC, standardize and ensure brand visibility of Action Against Hunger and donors in all communications materials, including publications, banners.
∎ Under the supervision of the line manager, implement standardization of official formats and visibility materials.
∎ Under the supervision of the line manager, produce communication documents as per ACF brand standard and of high quality: newsletter, leaflets, annual report, calendar, website, etc. (not necessarily existing).
∎ Support line manager to coordinate with project teams to manage visibility plan and budget;
∎ With close supervision of the line manager, develop core communication and visibility materials (eg. yearly diaries/notebooks, desk calendars etc.) as per base’s needs.
∎ Staffing & Team Management
∎ Under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Communication, Media, Advocacy & CwC, recruit team member as per approved organogram following Action Against Hunger’s procedure and values.
∎ With guidance from the line manager, lead, mentor and evaluate supervisees of the CwC team.
∎ Develop capacity of team members.
∎ Foster a culture based on accountability.
∎ Coordinate the team throughout all project management phases.
∎ Ensure that all team members have the required information and resources to carry out their tasks effectively.
∎ Meet with individual team members to find and fix any issues consulting with the line manager.

∎ Creativity and initiative in identifying project needs.
∎ Ability to manage team remotely, generate high quality project reports.
∎ Ability to oversee production of high quality communication contents.
∎ Experience on implementing information dissemination, community mobilization and communication with communities projects.
∎ Good organizational skills.
∎ Sound knowledge in working with MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint), etc.

Salary: Tk. 93699 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Festival Bonus: 02 (Two) Festival Bonus (Equivalent of two Basic Salary)
