15+ years of progressive professional experience in finance and accounts, with significant experience in senior management roles.
Proven experience in the insurance sector, preferably life insurance, is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, treasury, investment management, budgeting, internal control, audit, and corporate finance.
Strong understanding of the regulatory and financial environment of the insurance industry in Bangladesh.
Experience in dealing with regulatory authorities, auditors, Board committees, banks, and institutional stakeholders.
Excellent analytical, strategic planning, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong leadership and team-management skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong proficiency in ERP/accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and MIS/reporting tools.
High level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and corporate governance awareness.
Preference may be given to candidates who have:
Senior-level experience in a life insurance company, financial institution, or regulated financial services organization.
Experience working with IDRA and other relevant regulatory/statutory authorities.
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards (BFRS)/applicable accounting standards.
Experience in investment and treasury management.
Experience presenting financial performance and strategic recommendations to the Board or Board Committees.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the company's financial strategy, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, investment management, risk oversight, budgeting, and overall financial governance in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices..
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and long-term business plans.
Lead the Finance & Accounts function and ensure effective financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management reports, MIS, and Board-level financial reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable Bangladesh insurance laws and regulations, regulatory requirements, accounting standards, tax laws, and other statutory obligations.
Maintain effective relationships with the Insurance Development & Regulatory Authority (IDRA), auditors, tax authorities, banks, investment institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
Oversee the company's investment portfolio, liquidity management, treasury operations, and asset-liability management in coordination with relevant functions.
Establish and maintain robust financial controls, accounting policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
Monitor solvency, capital adequacy, profitability, cash flow, expenses, financial ratios, and other key financial indicators.
Lead the annual budgeting process and provide strategic financial insights to senior management and the Board.
Supervise statutory, internal, tax, and regulatory audits and ensure timely resolution of audit observations.
Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Board, and senior management on financial performance, business expansion, investments, capital requirements, and risk management.
Strengthen financial systems, processes, MIS, automation, and digital financial reporting.
Ensure effective management of premium accounting, claims-related financial matters, commissions, reinsurance accounting, and policyholder-related financial obligations.
Work closely with actuarial, underwriting, claims, investment, risk management, compliance, and business teams.
Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
Ensure effective cost management and improve operational efficiency without compromising business quality or regulatory compliance.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Finance & Accounts team.
Perform other strategic and financial responsibilities assigned by the Board or Chief Executive Officer.
