Educational Requirements:
∎ A degree in waste management or Environment is often preferred. Other relevant subjects include:
∎ biological or biochemical sciences
∎ chemical and physical sciences
∎ civil/structural/mechanical engineering
∎ earth sciences
∎ environmental science
∎ geology.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in the development of a Sales and Marketing plan to drive customer acquisition and achieve revenue and profit goals.
∎ Develop and maintain an understanding of all aspects of products and services including hauling, disposal, recycling, solutions and organics.
∎ Work with subject matter experts in the areas of disposal, recycling, solutions, and organics to enhance cross selling opportunities.
∎ Fully plan and implement an internal growth strategy including price increases.
∎ Look for opportunities to increase services to existing/Potential customers and develop a fully functioning account retention program in the defined territory.
∎ Recognize and solve problems and develop quality cross-selling solutions with the key team members.
∎ Maintain strong relationships with Government entities especially municipality , City corporation , Tanneries, industries that generate
∎ Implement effective time management goals.
∎ Work with division management to maintain Service Standards.
∎ Understand and utilize company pricing and profitability models.
∎ Develop tasks and activities that support both personal and company goals and communicate actual results to goal on a monthly basis with local management.
∎ oversee waste management schemes, such as at Deployment sites
∎ assist with the development, promotion and implementation of new waste disposal schemes
∎ ensure compliance with current legislation in the transportation, handling and disposal of waste
∎ formulate and control budgets for waste disposal
∎ collate statistics and compile reports often to strict deadlines
∎ monitor the quality and performance of waste services, including contract management of external providers
∎ assist with the development of information and promotional materials
∎ aim to meet waste reduction and recycling targets
∎ deal with enquiries and complaints from members of the public both in person and by phone or email
∎ Identify and target areas, working to find solutions to eliminate the waste problems.
∎ consult with residents, community groups, councilors, housing associations and traders' associations about waste management issues, identify their requirements and provide appropriate solutions
∎ Develop research projects and contribute to the activities of national groups concerned with waste disposal.
∎ liaising with private/Government waste collection companies
∎ helping to formulate efficient and effective waste disposal plans
∎ liaising with private/Government waste collection companies
∎ devising and administering waste management budgets
∎ managing contractors
∎ keeping statistical records and preparing reports
∎ ensuring compliance with current waste disposal/handling/transportation legislation
∎ monitoring levels of pollution from waste disposal sites
∎ handling queries or complaints from the public
∎ Attend all divisional and regional sales meetings to aid in training and increase networking opportunities
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Very Strong relationship with LGRD , Municipality and City corporations, Environment department and other Government entities is essential with relative experience of handling such project .
∎ Spend 3-5 Years in senior position at Municipality or City Corporation or ministry of environment.
∎ General experience of 10-15 Years.
∎ the ability to grasp complex and dynamic legislation
∎ the capacity to explain, apply and monitor such legislation
∎ effective communication skills, both oral and written
∎ analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
∎ leadership and management qualities
∎ good organizational and administrative skills
∎ an interest in, and understanding of, environment and sustainability issues
∎ international certification in environment will be added value.
