Job Context: As the Chief Commercial Officer, you will act as one of the CXOs of JERA Meghnaghat Power Limited (JMPL) and support the Chief Executive Officer in leading the company across financial, accounting, commercial, permitting, contracting / Procurement, and legal aspects while ensuring effective execution of Board-approved strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, project finance and international business development within the energy industry.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute financial strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization.
Develop and implement companywide budget and report its performance periodically to lenders and shareholders.
Ensure safe and sound cash management and borrowings as well as the financial statement, including accounting, tax management, and compliance with applicable regulations, and maintain adequate reporting obligation with the shareholders, the lenders and related entities.
Properly manage the commercial, procurement, and financing activities, and appropriately support and manage third parties (including contracts and the receipt of services provided to JMPL).
Collaborate with legal / compliance teams to ensure compliance with international laws and regulations governing the energy sector.
Foster and sustain a high-performance culture aligned with organizational values and ethics.
Set KPIs and action plans, monitor and evaluate performance appropriately, and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure accountability at all levels.
