Job Responsibilities:
∎ The aim of the position is to ensure a smooth and responsible handling of petty cash in the office.
∎ Cashier cum admin assistant is responsible for ensuring the efficient payment of cash and proper administrative system in the office by ensuring all the finance and administrative procedures, policies and organizational standards.
∎ Ensure the cash management by being responsible of the cash boxes, guarantee that the money is disbursed and / or the advances given according to the rules and from the right cash boxes and allocated on the relevant projects.
∎ Regular cash reconciliation (ensuring physical cash balance are matching with cash book records.)
∎ Follow up on advance given.
∎ Check the vouchers and the relevant supportive documents (quality, authenticity, reliability , accuracy and fairness)
∎ S/he is responsible for timely completion of all petty cash / administrative task in the office align with the compliance of organization, donor policies & procedures.
∎ The position holder is also responsible for support Dhaka Country office procurement and logistics function and ensure asset and materials inventory of the country office in line with the guidance and policy of Welthungerhilfe.
∎ Daily register of vouchers in the accounting system.
∎ Scan and copy the documents according to the organization policy.
∎ Maintain and Review bill/vouchers and prepare debit/credit/journal vouchers.
∎ Update cash transactions into accounting software and expenditure tracking.
∎ Good knowledge on day-to-day finance & Administration function.
∎ Sound knowledge of Tax/VAT calculation, Accounting Practices, Custom rules of the country and regulatory compliance.
∎ Maintain stock register of country office materials and office supplies and inventory management.
∎ Prepare a Monthly cash flow statement and provide to the relevant country office teams.
∎ Any other country office related activities that might be assigned by the management as when be needed.
∎ Good command in both written and spoken English.
∎ Proven knowledge and skills on procurement and providing logistics support.
∎ Sound understanding on office administration, facilities, logistics functions.
∎ Knowledge on humanitarian and donor funded project compliances and operation modalities.
∎ Excellent computer knowledge on Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point. Comfortable with using online based applications and software for different purposes.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills and can work as part of a team.

Additional Requirements:
∎ More than 3 years of international working experience in managing of cash and administrative procedures, particularly in and NGOS/ INGOs.
∎ Experience working with foreign donors.
∎ Proven skills in finance reporting, audit preparations, budgeting, management, and organizational skills are required.
∎ Knowledge of working under a humanitarian context.
∎ Ability to work under time pressure and high workload.
∎ Excellent spoken and written English.
∎ Knowledge of the Bangla language
∎ Experience working with the Government of Bangladesh regulatory agencies such as NGO-AB, NBR, etc.
