Job Context:
∎ Project: Protibesh
∎ Expected Joining Date: 01 October 2021
∎ The Protibesh project is funded by USAID which focuses on three result areas including i) Strengthening environmental governance and management; ii) Mitigating biodiversity threats and iii) Advancement of market-based incentives that promote sustainable natural resources management under the Development Objective "Strengthened Resilience to Natural Hazards. Activity goal of the Protibesh is to improve ecosystem conservation in and around targeted key biodiversity areas of Bangladesh such as northeast haor areas and southwest Sundarbans. CNRS will be engaged in implementing project activities at the ground level with the technical support of Chemonics International.
∎ Job Location: CNRS Head Office in Dhaka.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical supervision of the activities related to capacity building
∎ Coordinates capacity building activities including conservation implementation action, financial literacy, and expanded SMART
∎ Conducts knowledge and capacity analysis and scoring before interventions and develops further tailored measures
∎ Illustrative activities:
∎ Lead the process of delivering need-based capacity & skill development training with CMO (co-management organization) members on leadership development, negotiation, conflict resolution and visibility;
∎ Facilitate the process of creating a peer network of women and youth conservation leaders;
∎ Facilitate the GoB training process to capacitate them to assess the overall effectiveness of forest and wetland protected areas and other important biodiversity area operations;
∎ Support the training process of CMOs in ecosystem-specific NRM skills development;
∎ Facilitate the capacity building process of the DoE to hold discussion sessions;
∎ Assist in training operators to establish best practices for responsible eco-tourism in northeast and southeast hotspots including assessment of carrying capacity;

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of five years of experience conducting capacity building activities for private sector and/or government institutions. Experience of GoB counterpart training/capacity building will be an added advantage. Strong knowledge of English required.
∎ Additional Job Requirements:
∎ Capacity to develop training modules and tools.
∎ Strong ability in working with GoB systems.
∎ Good communication, facilitation and motivational skills.
∎ Understanding on local culture and languages.
∎ Skill in training module development, documentation, reporting in English.
∎ Abilities to undertake extensive travel to region/site level.
∎ Ability to work under pressure.
∎ Ability to work under multi-sect oral / multi-disciplined team approach
∎ Having non-discriminatory and gender sensitive perception
∎ To protect children in connection
∎ Willingness and ability to drive motorcycle in the field as and when required and should have valid driving license
∎ Efficient computer literacy (especially in MS Office applications)
