- Foundational Knowledge: Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and ability to demonstrate competence in ledger management and financial statement comprehension.
- Communication: Excellent proficiency in written and verbal English, mandatory for effective daily interaction with our global customers.
- Flexibility & Shift Work: Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and rotational shifts to align with the time zones of our global clientele.
- Location Preference: While we embrace a hybrid work environment, this role has an emphasis on regular in-office collaboration and presence. As such Candidates residing near our office at Lalmatia area (e.g., Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, Shaymoli, Rajabazar, Sobhanbagh, Kalabagan) are highly encouraged to apply. This proximity is beneficial for optimizing night shift scheduling and minimizing commute time/cost in Dhaka traffic.

Responsibilities & Context: This is an entry-level position offering comprehensive training for candidates with strong foundational knowledge. The Bookkeeping Associate will be responsible for providing daily, accurate, and timely bookkeeping services, ensuring client records are meticulously maintained in compliance with international standards.
- Performing daily transaction processing, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintaining the general ledger and preparing necessary journal entries.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Communicating effectively with internal teams and managers regarding client accounts and documentation needs.
- Supporting the team in ensuring compliance and accuracy across all client books.
- Committing to continuous learning on new accounting software and global bookkeeping practices.
