Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative Mid-Level Bakery & Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and pastry arts, along with a strong understanding of traditional and contemporary techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the creation of exceptional baked goods and desserts in a dynamic culinary environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Recipe Development: Develop and refine recipes for a variety of baked goods and pastries, including desserts, cakes & cookies.

  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus featuring innovative and visually appealing desserts and baked items.

  • Ingredient Sourcing: Source high-quality ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and adherence to budgetary constraints.

  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain strict quality control standards to uphold the reputation of the bakery/pastry department. Ensure consistency in quality, taste and presentation.

  • Training: Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff in baking techniques, recipe execution, and proper food safety protocols.

  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels for baking ingredients and supplies, optimizing usage and minimizing waste.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of bakery equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times.
