Additional Requirements:
  • Age 26 to 40 years
  • Minimum 5 years of professional bakery and pastry experience, including minimum 1 years in a CDP or senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of artisan baking, laminated doughs, desserts, fillings, and garnishing techniques.
  • Experience in café or bakery-style service preferred. Ability to set up systems, maintain quality control, and manage production volume as demand grows.

We are setting out on a new journey to elevate our Coffee Parlour experience by introducing a dedicated line of fresh bakery and pastry offerings. With your expertise, we aim to craft a unique in-house bakery section that delights our guests with breads, pastries, desserts, and creative baked treats.

Responsibilities:

  • Recipe Development: Develop and refine recipes for a variety of baked goods and pastries, including desserts, cakes, cookies & bread.

  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus featuring innovative and visually appealing desserts and baked items.

  • Ingredient Sourcing: Source high-quality ingredients and supplies, ensuring freshness and adherence to budgetary constraints.

  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain strict quality control standards to uphold the reputation of the bakery/pastry department. Ensure consistency in quality, taste and presentation.

  • Training: Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff in baking techniques, recipe execution, and proper food safety protocols.

  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels for baking ingredients and supplies, optimizing usage and minimizing waste.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of bakery equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards at all times.
