Education:

• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting
• Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Finance

• A bachelor`s & Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, often followed by a professional certification like Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Responsibilities:

• Financial Statement Verification: Reviewing and analyzing financial statements to ensure they accurately reflect the company`s financial position and comply with established standards like GAAP or IFRS. 

• Internal Control Assessment: Evaluating an organization`s internal control systems to ensure they are robust enough to prevent fraud and errors, and suggesting improvements. 

• Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring that financial operations adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. 

• Risk Identification: Identifying potential financial risks within the organization`s processes and operations. 

• Fraud Detection: Analyzing financial data and records to detect irregularities, inconsistencies, or potential fraudulent activities. 

• Reporting: Preparing detailed and objective reports of audit findings, documenting evidence to support conclusions, and presenting them to management or other stakeholders. 

• Recommendation for Improvement: Providing actionable advice to management on how to enhance financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and improve operational efficiency. 

• Developing audit programs and testing plans.

• Conducting research on accounting and auditing issues to stay informed about industry trends and changes.

• Collaborating with different departments to understand their operations and associated risks.
