Experience:

• At least 5 years

• Masters

• Master’s degree in Social Science, preferably Sociology, from a reputed university in Bangladesh.

• Candidates with relevant training or publications will be given additional consideration.

• At least 5 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Engineering Firms, Consulting Firms, Architecture Firm, Research Organization, Financial Consultants

• At least 5 years of experience in research and business development within a consulting or research firm.

• Familiarity with ESIA, RAP, Research work, environmental and social standards, including DOE, World Bank, and ADB regulations.

• Knowledge of GoB and multilateral donor bidding processes.

Other Qualifications

• Proficiency in ICT and computer applications (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Bangla and English.

Job Location: Dhaka (with field visits anywhere in Bangladesh).

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews on socio-economic and livelihood-related research and projects.

• Develop survey tools for household surveys, including semi-structured questionnaires, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) guidelines, Key Informant Interview (KII) checklists, and case study tools.

• Conduct field testing to validate survey instruments.

• Organize and facilitate enumerator and supervisor training, and supervise them during data collection.

• Conduct household surveys, FGDs, KIIs, and case studies.

• Facilitate and organize public consultations with communities or affected populations using participatory research tools.

• Ensure quality assurance in data collection and provide feedback to enumerators to maintain data accuracy.

• Assist in drafting reports, including Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Resettlement Action Plans (RAP), and Baseline, Mid-Term, Endline, and Impact Evaluation studies.

• Prepare Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and project proposals for nationally and donor-funded projects.

• Prepare reports in both Bangla and English.

• Attend client meetings and prepare PowerPoint presentations.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by the organization.
