Educational Requirements:
∎ Chartered Accountant with 2+ years' practical work experience in the tax and VAT arena, or
∎ Partly qualified (passed 2 levels of CA) and pursuing CA Advanced Level exams with 5+ years' practical work experience in tax and VAT arena

Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Demonstrate subject matter specialty on income tax and VAT, and ability to apply knowledge of current legislations and practices to client / business issues
∎ Represent tax / VAT issues of the clients before the tax and VAT authorities to ensure the best outcome / services for the clients in line with the laws
∎ Analyze complex issues, returns and other submissions to the tax / VAT authorities to ensure overall efficiency and tax / VAT optimization
∎ Draft client deliverables detailing interpretations of tax and VAT laws, business and technical findings, and advise the clients
∎ Identify key issues and risks, advise workable solutions for mitigating risks, meeting compliance obligations, tax planning and implementation strategies, and draft client communications
∎ Assist clients in understanding tax / VAT disputes and identifying actions to be taken to resolve such disputes in alignment with relevant laws, and represent clients in proceedings

Additional Requirements:
∎ Extensive knowledge on local Income Tax and VAT laws to perform as a subject matter expert
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skill with ability to write reports independently
∎ Preferred:
∎ Prior work experience with Big 4 / MNC / local conglomerate with experience of working in a tax team
