Additional Requirements

Technical Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of Smart Prepaid, Postpaid, and Retail Energy Meter technology.

• Sound knowledge of meter programming, calibration, accuracy testing, and functional testing.

• Familiarity with meter communication modules, relay operations, OBIS codes, and diagnostic systems.

• Knowledge of BSTI, IEC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and relevant manufacturing standards.

Professional Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems, MS Office, and technical documentation.

• Ability to work under pressure, meet production deadlines, and manage multiple operational priorities.

Production Planning & Operations

• Plan, supervise, and monitor Smart Prepaid, Postpaid, and Retail Energy Meter production to achieve production targets while ensuring quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

• Manage meter assembly, programming, calibration, functional testing, accuracy testing, and final inspection in accordance with applicable technical standards.

• Ensure timely execution of production schedules, optimum resource utilization, and continuous improvement in productivity.

• Coordinate with SCM, internal factories, and external suppliers to ensure uninterrupted availability of production materials.

Government Tender Execution & Regulatory Compliance

• Manage end-to-end government tender production activities, including planning, inspection, dispatch, delivery, and post-delivery support.

• Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Post-Landing Inspections (PLI), and other customer inspections with relevant utility authorities.

• Maintain effective liaison with BPDB, BREB, DPDC, DESCO, NESCO, PBS, BSTI, and other relevant regulatory and utility authorities.

• Ensure compliance with BSTI certification requirements, IEC standards, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and applicable regulatory guidelines.

Quality Assurance, Testing & Technical Support

• Supervise meter calibration, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and quality control activities to ensure product reliability.

• Identify and resolve technical issues related to meter programming, communication modules, relay operations, firmware, and meter diagnostics.

• Analyze meter performance and customer complaints using OBIS codes, event logs, and other diagnostic tools.

• Ensure proper maintenance and operational readiness of calibration systems, testing benches, ultrasonic welding machines, and other production equipment.

Inventory Management & After-Sales Service

• Monitor raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and consumables to ensure inventory accuracy and material traceability.

• Implement effective inventory control practices, including FIFO and proper stock reconciliation.

• Supervise after-sales technical support, warranty claims, field returns, and customer complaint resolution.

• Coordinate with distributors, dealers, utility representatives, and customers to ensure timely and effective technical service.

Team Management & Continuous Improvement

• Lead, supervise, and develop production teams to ensure operational discipline, accountability, and achievement of performance targets.

• Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing, workplace safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to minimize production defects, reduce operational costs, and improve productivity and on-time delivery.

• Maintain accurate production, quality, testing, inventory, inspection, and service records and prepare periodic management reports.
