Education:
    • Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting
    • Master of Commerce (MCom) in Finance
    • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration or related field.

  • Part-qualified CA/ACCA/ICMA (preferred).

  • Analytical skills with a keen problem-solving approach.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.


Responsibilities & Context:

The Assistant Manager – Accounts is responsible for managing all financial activities at the factory level, ensuring strict compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory regulations. The role involves budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, tax/VAT compliance, and coordination with the Corporate Accounts team and factory management to support operational effectiveness and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare annual and periodic budgets for the factory in alignment with corporate guidelines.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Accounts team for budget revisions, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Verify and process bills, vouchers, and payments to suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and ensure timely reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor balances, and intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee petty cash disbursement and ensure proper recording and validation of expenses.
  • Process payments for utilities, transportation, and other operational services on time.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable tax regulations, including Advance Income Tax (AIT), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and VAT.
  • Maintain updated Mushok challans, VAT registers, and all related statutory documentation.
  • Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and relevant government agencies as needed.
  • Monitor and control factory overheads, production costs, and daily expenses to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct cost analyses and identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports for corporate review and factory management.
  • Manage all banking activities related to factory operations, including deposits, withdrawals, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and records for all financial transactions.
  • Coordinate with the Corporate Accounts Department on financial reporting, audits, and implementation of accounting policies.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring accurate records and compliance with corporate and statutory requirements.
  • Assist management with ad-hoc financial analysis and special assignments.
  • Identify and recommend improvements in accounting processes, financial controls, and ERP/system usage.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Corporate Office or Factory Management.
