Experience:
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Demonstrated experience with donor financial requirements (FCDO/USAID/EU/UN/SIDA/SDC preferred).
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks/Sage/Tally Prime) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).
Solid understanding of IFRS/GAAP basics, Tax/VAT, payroll compliance.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline.
Analytical problem-solving.
Integrity, confidentiality, and adherence particularly.
Clear written and verbal communication in English.
Professional certification (part-qualified CA/ACCA/CMA) is an advantage.
Experience with multi-currency funds and sub-grantee financial reviews.
Strategic financial leadership.

Willingness to travel outside of work station as needed.
Have good interpersonal communication skills.

The Assistant Finance Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day execution of financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting, and supporting the Finance Manager as a team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
I. Financial Accounting and Operations
Daily Transaction Management: Oversee and execute daily financial transactions, including
processing payments, verifying invoices, issuing receipts, and ensuring proper documentation for all expenditures.
Bookkeeping and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records
using the organization`s accounting software. Ensure all entries are properly coded according to organizational and donor budgets.
Bank and Cash Management: Perform daily cash counts and conduct monthly bank and
ledger reconciliations for all organizational and project accounts to ensure balances match and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Petty Cash Administration: Manage and oversee the petty cash system, ensuring adequate controls, proper authorization, and timely replenishment.
II. Budget and Reporting Support
Budget Monitoring: Assist the Finance Manager in tracking project and organizational expenditures against approved budgets, highlighting variances, and preparing initial reports for programmatic teams.
Donor Reporting Support: Gather, compile, and summarize financial data required for donor-specific financial reports (e.g., for CAFOD or other partners), ensuring compliance with specific formatting and expenditure guidelines.
Voucher Verification: Review all payment and journal vouchers for accuracy, correct authorization, and adherence to OKUP`s financial policies before final processing.
III. Compliance and Auditing
Compliance Check: Monitor all expenditures to ensure adherence to both the organization`s financial policies and the specific regulations stipulated in grant agreements.
Tax and Statutory Compliance: Handle routine compliance tasks related to local regulations,
such as calculating and depositing Withholding Tax (WHT), Value Added Tax (VAT), and social security deductions (if applicable).
Audit Preparation: Prepare and organize financial documents, ledgers, contracts, and other necessary records to facilitate both internal and external audits, serving as a key support resource during the audit process.
IV. Payroll and Personnel Support.
Payroll Processing: Prepare and process the monthly payroll, ensuring timely salary disbursements and accurate deduction of taxes and other statutory contributions.
Staff Advances: Manage and reconcile staff advances and travel expenses, ensuring all claims are submitted with proper receipts and liquidated according to policy.
V. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the line management.
VI. VAT & TAX payment & advances accordingly.
Salary Range: 40,000-50,000 BDT. per month (Negotiable)
