Educational Requirements:
∎ BSc and/or MSc in Environmental, Water Resources and Coastal Engineering (EWCE), Water Resources Development, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (Major in water resources) from any reputed University.
∎ Pos-graduate diploma and relevant technical trainings in the relevant fields will consider as an extra credentials
∎ Any related training and/or publication in water resource projects/thesis is expected.

∎ EQMS - Bangladesh consist of 12 different departments of which Water Resource Management Department (WRD), Social Safeguard Department (SSD) of EQMS has experience in preparing/ conducting Environmental and Social Impact Assessment Studies; Resettlement Action Plan (RAP); Development of Livelihood Restoration Plan (LRP); Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF); Preparation of Environmental Disaster and Risk Management Plan; Environmental Management Information System (EIMS) development; Preparation of Environmental Guidelines; Development of Management of Toxic and Hazardous wastes generated from various Industries; Environmental and Social Due Diligence; Environmental and Social auditing; Socio-economic and Institutional Studies; Economic and Technical Feasibility Study.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to undertake and implement hydrological analysis, flood risk assessment, drainage and storm water system analysis, geo-morphological assessment, environmental impacts of water resources and structures like water pipeline, embankment-dyke, polder, river-training impacts and mitigation measures and assist in developing flood risk mitigation planning, budgeting;
∎ Performing hydrologic and hydro-dynamic modelling integrating 1-D & 2-D modeling using HEC-HMS, WMS. SWMM, SMS, HEC-RAS software;
∎ Assist in water control structures and floodproofing infrastructures development calculation, analysis, diagram, designing and conceptualization for hydraulic designing; assist in BOQ estimation;
∎ Implement field visit plan, data collection and data preparation for water modelling and analysis;
∎ Assist in report writing, data interpretation, mapping and concept designing
∎ Attain Client meeting and effective communication to meet client's requirement;
∎ Support for Preparation of Expression of Interest (EOI) and Project Proposal (PP) for Local and International projects;
∎ Communication with International and local consultants/ experts and firms for project engagement and network development; and
∎ Reporting to immediate line manager/project manager for effective project implementation;

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1-2 years Experiences in the related field for the "Assistant Consultant" position. 5-years relevant experiences for the position of "Consultant".
∎ The applicant should have sound and practical knowledge on water resources engineering, hydrologic modelling, hydraulics and software-based modelling like HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Delft-3D, Mike models with sound and practical knowledge on AutoCAD;
∎ Good knowledge and hands-on practical experience in big data analysis with R, Python, MATLAB etc. or data storage system (DSS) by Hydrologic engineer's corporation.
∎ ArcGIS software-based mapping, hydrologic system analysis and modelling is a must
∎ Excellent report writing and communication skills, ability to statistical data analysis and interpretation; also, should have knowledge on statistical tools like experimental design, probability and trend analysis
∎ Should be workable under pressure and responsibility; and motivated to frequently field visit for water resource projects
∎ Should be a good team player and self-oriented;
∎ Should have sound knowledge on WASH project, infrastructures, drawing, designing and cost estimation
∎ Should have sound knowledge on geo-technical engineering and incorporating geo-technical analysis, calculation for water resources infrastructures recommendation and implementation

Salary:
∎ Remuneration ranges from 420,000 to 750,000 per annum based on the best selected and deserve candidate(s) and evaluation through recruitment examination.
