Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's degree in Theatre/Music/social science/Psychology/English or any relevant subject from a government-recognized university in Bangladesh.

Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh
∎ since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka,
∎ Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 89 on-going projects
∎ covering 189 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities
∎ (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster
∎ Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous
∎ Peoples.
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Ukhiya Upazila Office, Cox`s Bazar is looking for suitable candidates for an
∎ immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly
∎ Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.
∎ The details of the position including job responsibilities, educational qualification and other qualities
∎ /competency required for the above position are given below for your information.
∎ Job Nature : Temporary

Job Responsibilities:
∎ A) Project Implementation , Recruitment and Supervision: Directly involved in the volunteer recruitment process with proper guidance & support from PC,
∎ Protection specialist and HR of CB in a timely.
∎ Supervise a team of volunteers who directly implement the No String activities in the field.
∎ Ensure that the volunteers implement and support the creation of the Puppet show as per the
∎ MEAL plan under the project and daily basis in the field.
∎ Training: Organize and provide training for Volunteers on the puppet show session in the learning & multi purpose center.
∎ Awareness raising/Puppet Show session: Take action, facilitation and implement according to the detailed implementation plan, session
∎ plan, and work plan with volunteers and arrange all sorts of logistics & necessary support to
∎ implement the project activities.
∎ Quality of programming: Do proper work plans for awareness sessions that are implemented in a high-quality manner.
∎ Regular follow-up/check-in meetings, field visits, session observations, spot technical support, and
∎ guidance to volunteers, for the best learning of program participants, especially children,
∎ adolescents, and caregivers. Collect the data from the field level of the daily activities and learning
∎ feedback/inputs by program participants.
∎ Coordination: Assist the PC of this project to ensure good coordination between project staff, protection
∎ specialists, child protection project staff, and other Caritas teams as well as other stakeholders in
∎ the camp (CiC, protection services, information points, etc.)
∎ Monthly Meeting: Attend the regular monthly meetings with project staff, finance staff, human resources, CB ERP
∎ management, and CRS technical support staff and share the updates/challenges/learning/needs or
∎ any other project-relevant issues that are required for project implementation.
∎ Reporting and monitoring: Daily basis data or reports according to the MEAL system are in place and reporting is effective and
∎ on time.
∎ Administrative (HR) and finance responsibilities of the project team.
∎ Ensure confidentiality of the cases reported and follow up with the team.
∎ Support the team in, and advocate for self-care strategies.
∎ Assist to ensure the FCRM establishes and functions under this project coordination with MEAL
∎ and safeguarding focal person in ERP of CB.
∎ B) General protection responsibilities : Know the referral pathways and the reporting system and train staff as needed.
∎ Know Protection agencies in the field and remain updated on services available, resources to be
∎ shared, and protection issues that arise.
∎ Be aware of protection issues and trends in areas of operation and report any new protection
∎ trends.
∎ Coordinate with protection focal point and other community outreach members' programs as
∎ needed.
∎ Protection Mainstreaming and Quality Programming
∎ Uphold the strictest confidentiality and protection of data pertaining to beneficiaries and Caritas
∎ Bangladesh staff and volunteers and reinforce this confidentiality in the field.
∎ Understand PSEA and Safeguarding policies and uphold duties as a mandated reporter.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 6 months of work experience in Protection/MHPSS/GBV/Child protection/Theatre activity in an emergency context.
∎ Previous experience in conducting training for volunteers and community members is highly desirable.
∎ Able to speak & understand or communicate with the local Chittagong language, Bangla (essential) and English (appreciable)
∎ Demonstrates compassion, empathy, and respect towards beneficiaries, staff and volunteers.
∎ Strong understanding of the Rohingya emergency response and host community needs
∎ Ability to work with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
∎ Willingness to learn and receive constructive feedback to improve program quality.
∎ Demonstrating the ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for cases and survivors is essential.

Salary:
∎ 60,000 BDT (Consolidated) per month.
