Job Context:
∎ Duty Station : Cox`s Bazaar
∎ Reports To : Producer
∎ Duration : Fixed term contract till 31 December 2022, subject to funding, with strong possibility for extension
∎ Start Date : ASAP
∎ Overall purpose:
∎ The position of animator will design and develop animated communication materials and work within the production team to ensure that output is delivered on time and in accordance with BBC Media Action`s high creative standards and editorial requirements.
∎ The post is based in Cox`s Bazar, but s/he needs to travel to production locations across the country, as necessary. In general, normal office hours will apply but the nature of the role means that a flexible approach to working time will be necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Engage in necessary discussion with the project and production team to understand the projects' aims and objectives.
∎ Participate in the brainstorming sessions with production team and recommend creative ideas, formats, and styles in different steps in the production process.
∎ Develop concept for the animation by working closely with the production and project team.
∎ Study scripts and production briefs and become familiar with production concepts and requirements.
∎ Develop creative and consistent look that establishes the content.
∎ Develop script and detailed storyboard for the animation.
∎ Carry out all necessary animation and make necessary adjustments upon feedback from the team.
∎ Research and suggest innovative solutions to ensure creative outputs in time.
∎ Ensure that BBC editorial principles and all relevant legal, contractual, and copyright requirements are met, referring upwards in cases of difficulty or doubt.
∎ Carry out any tasks, duties and responsibilities bestowed by the line manager/producer/director.

∎ Proven record in doing animation works. E
∎ Fully competent in animation and graphic software. E
∎ Demonstrable skills in design and layout. E
∎ Excellent spoken Bangla communication skills. E
∎ Good organizational and time management skills; a meticulous, logical approach towards work with the ability to prioritise across multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. E
∎ Ability to work in a multicultural environment. E
∎ Basic use of standard computer packages includes MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. D
∎ Previous experience in animation works with organisations and project related to humanitarian response. D
∎ Flexible in approach to work. E
∎ Ability to act on own initiative within specified boundaries. E
∎ Understanding of basic safeguarding principles, with the ability and willingness to adhere to BBC Media Action safeguarding policies and procedures. E
