Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a team of aluminium fabricators engaged in shipbuilding and ship repair projects.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications.

• Plan, assign, and monitor daily fabrication activities to ensure timely project completion.

• Ensure accurate cutting, fitting, assembling, welding, and installation of aluminium structures.

• Inspect fabricated components to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

• Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering departments to resolve fabrication issues.

• Ensure proper use and maintenance of fabrication tools, machinery, and equipment.

• Monitor productivity and maintain high standards of workmanship.

• Enforce company safety procedures and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.

• Prepare daily work reports and monitor manpower utilization.

Educational Requirements

• Diploma / Trade Certificate in Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience Requirements

• 7–12 years of experience as an Aluminium Fabricator Foreman.

• Proven experience in Shipyard, Marine, Offshore, or Heavy Steel/Aluminium Fabrication projects is mandatory.

• Previous supervisory experience leading fabrication teams is required.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of aluminium fabrication and welding processes.

• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.

• Experience with aluminium cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, and finishing.

• Knowledge of MIG/TIG welding techniques for aluminium.

• Strong leadership, planning, and team management skills.

• Ability to maintain quality standards and achieve production targets.

• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

• Basic computer knowledge.

• Good written and spoken English.
