Responsibilities & Context:

1. Hospital Operations & Service Management

  • Supervise daily operations: admissions, discharges, patient records, and outpatient services.

  • Ensure smooth coordination between doctors, nurses, and support staff.

  • Monitor facility upkeep: cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.

2. Human Resource Administration

  • Recruit and manage staff: doctors, nurses, technicians, and non-medical staff.

  • Prepare duty rosters and manage shift schedules.

  • Conduct staff training on hospital policies, patient care, and ethics.

3. Financial & Business Management

  • Prepare hospital budgets and monitor expenses.

  • Manage billing and accounts: patient fees, insurance claims, and vendor payments.

  • Negotiate with suppliers for medicines, equipment, and services.

  • Ensure profitability while maintaining affordable healthcare for rural communities.

4. Regulatory & Compliance

  • Maintain licenses and permits required by the Ministry of Health and DGHS.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, safety regulations, and medical waste disposal rules.

  • Prepare reports for audits, inspections, and stakeholders.

5. Community & Patient Relations

  • Handle patient complaints and feedback to improve service quality.

  • Organize health awareness programs (vaccination drives, maternal health, sanitation campaigns).

  • Build trust with the local community to increase hospital reputation and patient inflow.

6. Logistics & Resource Management

  • Maintain inventory of medicines, consumables, and medical equipment.

  • Ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity, water, and essential services.

  • Coordinate ambulance and emergency services for rural patients.

7. Emergency & Crisis Handling

  • Develop disaster preparedness plans for floods, epidemics, or accidents.

  • Ensure availability of emergency medicines and trained staff during crises.

  • Coordinate with local authorities for disaster response.
