Responsibilities & Context:

The Accountant will oversee all financial activities including bookkeeping, reconciliations, expense tracking, and financial reporting. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with eCommerce platforms, and the ability to work with accounting tools and spreadsheets accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and reconcile daily sales, refunds, and fees from Amazon, eBay, Shopify, Maintain and update general ledgers, ensuring accuracy across all transactions.

  • Reconcile payment gateways with bank statements.

  • Track expenses, supplier invoices, and purchase orders.

  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements and reports.

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.

  • Coordinate with management for budget planning and cash flow forecasting.

  • Assist with VAT/NON-VAT filings and ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.

  • Collaborate with the operations and finance teams to ensure proper cost allocation and profitability analysis.

  • Use tools like Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, or Excel for financial management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in an eCommerce or retail environment.

  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero).

  • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation, journal entries, and financial reporting.

  • Experience managing transactions from Amazon, eBay, and Shopify is an advantage.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
