Responsibilities & Context:

Financial Record Keeping and Reporting:

Recording Transactions:

  • Accurate and systematic recording of all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts. 

Maintaining General Ledger:

  • Managing and updating the general ledger, which summarizes all financial transactions of a business. 

Preparing Financial Statements:

  • Creating essential financial reports like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. 

Reconciling Accounts:

  • Reconciling bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy. 

Financial Analysis and Planning:

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Developing and managing budgets, forecasting future financial performance, and identifying potential risks. 

Cost Analysis:

  • Analyzing costs, identifying areas for potential cost reduction, and recommending strategies for optimization. 

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports for management review and decision-making. 
  • Conducting internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations and identify areas for improvement. 

Compliance and Tax Management:

Tax Preparation:

  • Preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. 

Ensuring Compliance:

  • Maintaining financial records and reports in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. 

Advising on Financial Matters:

  • Providing guidance to management on financial strategy, accounting processes, and compliance issues. 

Other Responsibilities:

Managing Payroll:

  • Handling payroll tasks, including calculating salaries, deductions, and ensuring timely payments. 

Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments, and managing outstanding debts. 

Cost Control:

  • Implementing and monitoring cost control measures across different business operations. 

Identifying and Mitigating Risks:

  • Identifying potential financial risks and recommending strategies to mitigate them.
